Spring Vacation

Hi Everyone in Blogland,

We took a mini vacation to visit the Skagit Valley tulips as we headed north to Whistler, BC. Addi loves the "pointy" flowers and as always it was spectacularly beautiful. Rows and rows of colorful tulips and it was a picture perfect day.
Then we headed north out of the country to ski at Whistler, Canada, the host country of the 2010 Winter Olympics. There was so much to do at the Whistler Plaza. The Olympic rings and the Paralympic symbols are just like what we saw on TV. The village plazas have several fun, fun playgrounds for the kids to play and climb on. Of course, there are numerous eating places and we visited the Crepe and the Mongolian Restaurants.  Oh so, yummy! We did lots of window shopping but shopped at the Hatley Store many, many times as it was Cyndi's favorite store. Yes, it was still snowing in April and the family was able to get in a couple of days skiing. Riding the Gondola up Whistler Mountain and then to Blackcomb Mountain was a breath taking eleven minute ride from peak to peak.
At "home" in the condo, we watched TV, played kids monopoly, laptop & ipad games, and relaxed for the next day's activity. Outside the village, Addi was able to go swimming and ice skating with Matt and Cyndi. Each day was filled with something to do and surely kept us going.
I have attached a short slideshow with all of our pictures to share with you. Enjoy!

The pictures may seem blurry but the picture were not and I don't know how to fix it, sorry!)

Easter Sunday

Brandon and Addi with their
Widgie friends.
I found one!

This was our annual Egg Hunt with Addi and this year her friend, Brandon! They play so well together and had so much fun despite Addi waking up with a slight fever. Even with the grass being wet and soggy, the kids managed to find all the hidden eggs.

Addi on the hunt for more eggs.
Huh? The clouds are too blinding.

Addi found a lot of eggs that contained prizes, candies,
                                                         toys, $$, and more!

Addi took a break for a photo shoot with Papa!

We're back . . . to blogging!

Hi Friends . . .  The fam-bam is doing well as we are all living very busy lives with school, work, retirement, and of course, PLAYING. We had a fabulous family trip to Walt Disney World last May for Addi's 5th birthday. Clarence and I took Khung-khung to Vegas in October and again in February during Super Bowl Weekend. Khung's is now 91 years old and still loves his Vegas trips. We made a quick trip to Hawaii in September for cousin Scott and Judy's wedding.  Miss Addi-0 started all day kindergarten at East Ridge Elementary with 23 classmates. She continues with dance lessons, playing soccer, and started skiing this past winter. Despite a lot of traveling for work, Cyndi volunteers as the Room Mom for Addi's class. She directed and organized the Halloween and Valentine's Day parties, of course, with help from Pa and Nah. Firefighter Matt is studying to test into the medic program and works on boat repairs on his off days.  Kim took a whirlwind trip to Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora with a friend and is currently working two jobs. Pa has taken the role of head chef of the house as he loves to cook. He asks that we stay out of his "kitchen." He also doubles as my personal driver as he drives me everywhere to do errands and/or shopping. Lastly, I'm still volunteering at my former school, Woodmoor Elementary, where I still love working with general ed kids and kids of special needs. However, this year I've added helping in Addi's class with reading literacy and tutoring third graders in math. Below is a snap shot of some of our current highlights.

It was a very good day, Bubbles past her state test!
Now, she will be a CWU graduate and a certified WA teacher, if she only had a job.
